You can simply transfer digital recording to Hard Disk Drive or DVD while maintaining breaks in your recording. DV-Input is the ideal solution for those wishing to transfer material from a video camera while maintaining the highest quality.
HDMI Connection
High Definition 1080p Up-conversion with HDMI Output . With the included HDMI connection, recorded images are transmitted with no deterioration for high quality reproduction. Both video and audio signals are transmitted over a single cable, so connection is easier and there is less clutter.
High-speed Dubbing from Hard Disk Drive
You can perform high-speed recording from the hard disk drive to a DVD-RAM (5x speed compatible) or DVD-R (8x speed compatible) at the touch of a button. You can record a 1-hour program (originally recorded in EP [8H] mode) from the hard disk drive to DVD-R disc in only 1 minute!
16:9 Widescreen Recording
All new Panasonic DVD Recorders will record 16:9 Aspect Ratio (Widescreen) when receiving Widescreen input from a Digital Television Tuner. Recording is performed as normal and you will be able to view full 16:9 format for playback.
4x Natural Gradation (12-bit Analogue to Digital Converter)
Greater natural gradation and amazingly rich pictures are delivered with 4096 steps of grey. The 12-bit analogue-to-digital converter has 4x the gradation found with a conventional 10-bit analogue-to-digital converter. Important Note: This DVD recorder does not have a built in video signal converter! This means that you will be able to play PAL or NTSC discs on a PAL TV, and NTSC Discs on a NTSC TV. If you have a multi-system TV that supports PAL and NTSC then you will be able to play both PAL and NTSC discs on your TV. Alternatively, in order to play a PAL DVD on a NTSC TV, or NTSC DVD on a PAL TV, or to record DVD from PAL source to NTSC or vice versa, you will need an external video converter
